Rev. Warren R. Hall, Ed. D., 45, is a Jersey City native and 1981 graduate of Hudson Catholic Regional High School.

He earned a B.A. in English from Seton Hall University while attending the university’s College Seminary, St. Andrew’s Hall.   He also earned a Master’s in Divinity from Immaculate Conception Seminary, Seton Hall University, and was ordained to the priesthood for service in the Archdiocese of Newark in 1989.

His parish assignments within the Archdiocese have included service at St. Michael Parish, Cranford and St. Mary, Dumont.  He also served for a time as priest secretary to former Newark Archbishop Theodore McCarrick.

Between 1999 and 2003, Father Warren served outside of the Archdiocese in parishes in Maryland and Delaware.   Since 2003, Father Warren has been involved in campus ministry at St. Thomas University, Miami, while pursuing doctoral studies in education.

In the March 21, 1990 edition of The Catholic Advocate, the newspaper of the Archdiocese of Newark, Father Warren was interviewed about a visit he had recently made to his alma mater to celebrate Mass with students.   He spoke of his time and memories as a student at Hudson Catholic Regional High School, and offered some advice to his fellow Hawks – advice that is as prophetic today as it was then:  “Allow what happens to happen. And that’s not just in terms of winning and losing…You have to plan ahead; you need to take initiative.  But don’t try to be too much in control.  You don’t know what God has in store for you…There comes a time when you have to let life lead you in a direction you might not have thought of…”
