President's Report Greetings Brother Hawks, Friends and Family, I'm very happy to have many great things to report. The school is shining in many important ways. First and foremost, the transition from all boys to Co-Ed was an incredible success. Everything went smoothly and the school has transformed into a stronger, more vibrant community. None of it could have been possible without the support of Curt Zegler, `89. Curt oversaw the school's Co-Ed conversion renovations under a time crunch. With the help project manageer Stacey Zegler, the project was completed on time and under budget! Curt, Stacey, thank you for doing such a great job! I encourage all of you to pay a visit to the school to see how things are going for yourself. Father Hall and Sister Joann Marie are always happy to welcome back a visiting Hawk. As you know, we are in the middle of a 3-year fundraising campaign to raise $1.5 million dollars. We have currently received $1.13 million in pledges toward that goal, but we still need your help. We accept online donations now, and can arrange for monthly installments. More information can be found here: http://www.hudsoncatholic.org/donatenow.html Our fundraising efforts were recently given a $25,000 boost thanks to Provident Bank. Read the press release here.
Next on my list of things to mention is something not to be missed. 11 of our Hawk alumni are on the JCPD hockey squad, and will be taking on the NJ DevilsAlumni team on December 13 at the Prudential Center! I had the great time attending the Class of `84 Reunion at Casino in the Park. Big thanks to Joe Dnistrian for organizing the event.
Recent graduate and active Hawk volunteer Anthony Romano, `04, organized our first 10-year-out reunion That's about it for now. If there's something you'd like to know more about, please let us know by sending an e-mail to alumni@hudsoncatholic.org. Steven Cappiello, `88

_____ The IT Corner Information Technology (IT) means many things to many people. To some it means programming; to some it means internet access; to some it means e-mail and collaboration; to others it means an innovative approach to teaching. What does IT mean to you ? How can IT help make Hudson Catholic a better school ? That’s what this IT Corner is all about. Together with a team of alumni, faculty, staff, parents and students, we are going to enhance and improve information technology at Hudson Catholic. We are evaluating all aspects of technology at the school to determine how we can grow and improve what is available and bring new IT innovations to the school to enhance the education experience for both students and teachers. This effort will span not only the tangible technology that you can see at the school, like desktops or projectors, but also a look at how students use technology in their daily lives, how “tech-savvy” and prepared they are to move on after Hudson Catholic and how technology affects the learning process. We are examining all of these areas and developing short, mid and long-term goals. Michael Lubanski, `90
